Sekyere and Northern Presbyteries Elect New Chairpersons
 The Sekyere and Northern Presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, have elected Rev. Daniel Osei Bediako-Akoto and Rev. Peter Atta Ziame as their Chairpersons respectively for the next five years.

Rev. Bediako-Akoto is currently a Minister at the Ridge Church in Accra, and will be taking over from Rev. Ernest Odame Asare, whose five year term ends in August 2018.

The 61-year-old Rev Bediako-Akoto is a product of the University of Ghana, the Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, the Princeton Theological Seminary in the United States of America and the Protestant Theological University in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he obtained a Diploma in Theology, Diploma in Ministry, Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Theology and PhD respectively.

Rev. Ziame on the other hand, succeeds Rev. Dr. Solomon Sule-Sah whose tenure of office also ends in August this year. He is the Director of the Presbyterian Lay Training Centre in Tamale.

Rev. Atta Ziame is a product of the Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, and the University of Ghana, where he obtained a Diploma in Theology, Bachelor of Arts in Religions and Psychology and Master of Philosophy in Religions.

The new Chairpersons in an interview thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in them, and the out-going Presbytery Chairpersons, for their dedication and exemplary leadership.

The two pledged to continue to work hard for the development of the Church.

They both promised to implement the Mission, Vision, Strategy and Development Plans of their Presbyteries, and to promote evangelism to win more souls for Christ.
