The Acting Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rev Dr. Victor Okoe Abbey and the Clerk of General Assembly Rev Dr Samuel Ayetey-Nyampong have attended the 3rd Presbytery Session of the North American/Australia Presbytery held in New York.

The Acting Moderator took the opportunity to addressed some pertinent issues bothering leadership of the Church such as high rate of indiscipline in the Church especially refusal of Ministers posted abroad to return home.

The Acting Moderator said such behavior and other negative tendencies that could bring Christian faith into disrepute should be avoided. He said the leadership of the Church would do everything within its mandate to restore the Church home and abroad to its days of glory and as well stamp out indiscipline among Ministers and church members.

While warning that any Minister of the PCG found wanting in areas indiscipline and refusal to return home from abroad would be disciplined as appropriate, he added that no effort would be spared to protect the good name of the Church as inherited from its founding fathers.

Rev Dr Okoe Abbey stressed that the time has come for the whole world to witness the rebirth of evangelism which is the hallmark of the Church hence the current theme, Let the Earth Hear.
